About Master Dianwu

Master Dianwu is a meditation teacher rooted in the early Buddhist (Āgama) tradition, with decades of dedicated training in both practice and study.

From a young age, he showed a deep inclination toward spiritual life. At the age of 11, he chose to ordain at Mount Jizu in Yunnan, China, beginning a lifelong path of discipline, meditation, and inquiry into the teachings of the Buddha.

Over the years, his training has combined intensive meditative practice with deep study of the Āgama texts—the earliest recorded discourses of the Buddha.

A defining period of his path came during his journey to India, where he sought to deepen his understanding of the Buddha’s teachings. There, he encountered a meditation master and received full transmission of Satipaṭṭhāna (the Four Foundations of Mindfulness), a core practice in early Buddhism.

His teaching centers on Satipaṭṭhāna, which cultivates direct awareness of body, feelings, mind, and phenomena. Through this practice, practitioners develop insight into the nature of experience and the causes of suffering.

Master Dianwu’s approach emphasizes clarity, direct experience, and practical application. His guidance is accessible to both beginners and experienced practitioners, offering a grounded and structured path for developing mindfulness and wisdom in daily life.
